Having enough difficulty managing Naruto from OMG_Naruto, I decided to not go to quite an extreme with this little piece of loveliness-- if you will, a more subdued piece of writing that, while not painful to the eyes, painful to the sensibilities of those with any sort of writing talent.
Behold, the mediocre atrocity that is.....
Once upon a time, in the Wind Country, there was a hidden village called 'Hidden Leaf Village'. Ninjas lived there and lived ninja lives. There were ninja teachers and ninja kids and ninja bus drivers and ninja artists and ninja proctologists too. Everybody was a ninja, and they practiced their nindo (ninja way) all the time.
One of these ninjas was a boy named Naruto. He was twelve and liked ramen, especially miso ramen. He always wore orange and looked like a fox (because he has whisker-things on his face) Inside of him was a demon fox called kyuubi (nine tails) that made everybody hate him because it killed a lot of people a lot of years ago.
One day Naruto was practicing ninjutsu when he saw a baby fox sitting on top of a log nearby. He raised an eyebrow and just shook his head, deciding to ignore the baby fox. An hour later, Naruto looked back and saw the fox was still there, staring at him.
"What do you want?" asked Naruto, staring at the fox with his eyes narrowed. The fox just looked up at him pitifully and made a whining sound.
"Oh, you're just too cute," Naruto said, and then picked up the baby fox and stuck it in his jacket where it was nice and warm. The baby fox curled up and when to sleep, which made Naruto smile.
Then he went back to his place, but he stopped at the ramen place on the way back. A baby fox would like ramen, right?
"Can I have a miso ramen please?" asked Naruto to the guy who works behind the counter. "And a small one for this guy?" he said, opening his jacket to show the baby fox. It was sleeping!
"Well, can you pay?" the guy asked, looking skeptical. "Because it can't be free!"
Naruto looked a little sad at that. "I don't have any money," Naruto said, "Can you wait a little bit, I'll go get some!"
"No, it's okay," the man said with a laugh and then started to make the ramen. "You're a great customer, anyway!"
Naruto laughed too and then sat down to have some ramen and some for the baby fox, which he decided to name 'Miso' because he loves miso ramen.
After they ate, Naruto took Miso back to his apartment. On the way he ran into Sakura who was reading a book on the railing of the bridge.
"Hi Sakura-chan!" Naruto said, waving to Sakura. Sakura ignored him, just reading her book. Naruto frowned and said, "I SAID HI SAKURA CHAN!"
Sakura sighed and put the book down. "Hi Naruto," she said with an annoyed look. "What do you want?"
Naruto grinned excitedly at Sakura. "Look what I found!" Naruto said, opening his jacket to show the baby fox to Sakura.
"Oh wow, he's so cute!" Sakura said, reaching out to pet the baby fox. "What's his name?"
Naruto said, "Miso!" Sakura made a weird face.
"That's a dumb name for a fox," she said, but continued to pet him anyway. "Are you going to keep him?"
Naruto grinned. "Yeah! He'll be my pet!"
Kakashi suddenly appeared behind them and bonked Naruto on the head. "No, you can't have a pet," he said.
Naruto looked angry. "Why not?" he yelled at Kakashi.
Kakashi looked bored. "Because he's a baby kyuubi (nine tails)," he said to explain it. "Couldn't you see?"
Naruto and Sakura looked very surprised. "What?" asked Naruto before he opened his jacket more to see--
The baby fox had nine tails!
"Oh no, how could I have missed that?" Naruto said, hitting himself on the forehead.
Sakura looked sad and said, "So he's a demon, but he's really so young and cute. Can't we raise him to be a good demon fox?"
Naruto nodded his head. "Yeah, please, can't we do that? I always wanted a pet!"
Kakashi shook his head. "I'm sorry, but he's too dangerous," Kakashi said. "Even as a baby a kyuubi is very dangerous."
Naruto looked angry. "No way! I don't believe you! I'm going to raise him to be good! I'll show you!" With that he turned around and ran and ran until he got to the woods.
"Miso, I won't let them take you away," Naruto said to Miso, hugging him. Miso looked sad and made a whining sound. "But why did you come to me? Could you know there was the big kyuubi inside of me?" he asked Miso. Miso tilted his head and licked Naruto's cheek. "You're not his baby, are you?" Since demons don't age so fast so he would still be a baby even twelve years or more later.
Miso yapyapped and then curled up in Naruto's arms. Naruto smiled down at Miso. "Well, I guess I'll have to be your papa now. It's only fair, right?" But Miso couldn't say anything because he was already asleep.
Naruto smiled down at Miso again. "I'll take care of you. I promise."
And that was what happened.
